Delete Your Goalora Account
Last updated: July 16, 2026
This page explains how to request deletion of a Goalora English-learning account for the Android app with package name com.goalora.englishlearning. It is available without signing in or reinstalling the App.
Delete Your Account in the App
- Sign in to Goalora.
- Open My Profile.
- Scroll to the Account section.
- Select Delete account.
- Read the permanent-deletion notice and select Delete account to confirm.
- Reauthenticate: enter the current password for an email/password account, or complete the fresh Google Sign-In flow for a Google account.
- Wait for Goalora to confirm that deletion completed.
Do not close the App or assume deletion succeeded until the App confirms completion. The App first anonymizes the signed-in user's Firestore profile and then deletes the Firebase Authentication user. This process does not use Cloud Functions.
Request Deletion Without the App
If you cannot access the App, email Goalora from the email address associated with the account. This helps Goalora verify that the request comes from the account owner.
Email an account-deletion requestSend the request to goalora2026@gmail.com with the subject Goalora account deletion request. Include only:
- the email address used for the Goalora account; and
- a short statement requesting deletion of the account and associated data.
Data Deleted
For a verified account, the deletion process removes:
- the Firebase Authentication account; its former UID remains only in the old Firestore soft-deletion record and is no longer an active account identifier;
-
identifying, preference, reminder, and progress fields from the old Cloud Firestore
users/{uid}profile document; - name, email, proficiency, learning-language preference, and education choice;
- topics of interest, practice goal, preferred reminder times, and progress question IDs; and
- for in-app deletion, local reminder schedules and the App's in-memory profile and question state on the device used for deletion.
The old Firestore document is retained as a soft-deletion record. It keeps the UID,
isDeleted marker, deletion timestamp, "Deleted User" name, creation timestamp
where present, and any unchanged role field. It does not retain the deleted email,
learning preferences, reminder choices, or progress identifiers. If Firebase
Authentication deletion fails, the App attempts to restore the original Firestore
profile and does not report success.
If the App closes or loses its network connection before it confirms completion, sign in again and retry the request or contact Goalora. Do not assume deletion succeeded unless the App displays the success confirmation.
Shared learning questions are not deleted because they are not owned by an individual user. The current App does not store user uploads in Firebase Storage, does not store FCM registration tokens, and does not maintain user AI conversations.
Processing Time and Retention
- In-app deletion: the authenticated App processes the Firestore anonymization and Firebase Authentication deletion during the confirmed flow. The App reports success only after both steps complete.
- Email requests: identity must first be verified. Goalora has not established a fixed manual-request service period, so Goalora will provide the expected completion date after verification.
- Firebase backups: deletion from active Goalora data does not mean all provider backups disappear instantly. Firebase states that deleted Authentication information may take up to 180 days to be removed from live and backup systems; authentication IP logs are generally retained for a few weeks.
- Support emails: Goalora has not established a separate fixed retention period. Messages are retained only as needed to process the request, protect the account, and meet applicable legal obligations.
Registering Again
After deletion completes, you may register again using the same email address or the same Google account. Firebase creates a new UID and Goalora creates a fresh profile. The new account is separate, and deleted preferences and progress are not restored. Deleting Goalora does not delete or revoke your underlying Google account.
